EXTRACT

1. DeviantArt doesn't allow uploading .exe files anymore, so I had to "hide" them inside an .iso image, then packed the .iso into a .zip.
2. Download the file.
3. Extract the .zip.
4. Mount the .iso image or extract it with WinRAR.
5. You'll find 2 installers, 1 uninstaller, the cover, the presentation image and instructions.


INSTALL

1. Exit Yahoo! Messenger.
2. Run one of the .exe files: Metro v.2 - Skype style or Metro v.2 - Yahoo! Style.
3. You will be prompted to select the installation folder. Select the folder where Yahoo! Messenger is installed (e.g. C:/Program Files/Yahoo!Messenger).
4. After the extraction is finished start Yahoo! Messenger.
5. Go to the skin-picker (the “down” arrow, near the minimize button in the top right corner of the app) and select the Metro v2 skin that you just installed.
6. Enjoy.


UNINSTALL

1. Exit Yahoo! Messenger.
2. Run Uninstaller.exe.
3. You will be prompted to select the installation folder. Select the folder where Yahoo! Messenger is installed (e.g. C:/Program Files/Yahoo!Messenger).
4. After the extraction is finished start Yahoo! Messenger.
5. Go to the skin-picker (the “down” arrow, near the minimize button in the top right corner of the app) and select any skin you want.


NOTES

1. The skin doesn’t really install, it just extracts some files and replaces the original ones. There is no change in the registry, so the skin won’t appear in the installed programs list in Control Panel.
2. The uninstaller is included so that you can easily revert back to “factory settings”. It deletes my custom skin/skins and replaces some files with the original files from Yahoo!. Now everything will be like new.
3. All the files are checked and virus free. Please download only from trusted locations like my DeviantArt page or other links posted by me on my Facebook page. I am not responsible for any damage that your computer may suffer.

CHANGELOG

1. There are two styles available: Skype style and Yahoo! style.
2. Modified the login window to be more metro-like, changed the font to Segoe UI.
3. Modified the arrangement of the main window, replaced all the icons in the main window, made user avatar a bit smaller, added some “clouds”, modified the color of groups and arrows in the friend list to match the rest of the window, replaced the online, offline, idle and busy icons etc.
4. Modified the arrangement of the IM window, replaced the top toolbar icons of the IM window, replaced the smiley toolbar icons with text, redesigned the bottom tab strip etc.
5. Redesigned the top menu.
6. Redesigned the Preferences windows, added some clouds and rearranged the text to be perfectly aligned.
7. Redesigned user contact card.
8. Replaced radio and tick buttons all over to be more metro-like.
